Led a global transformation program with a budget of over EUR 150M to modernise IKEA's marketing. The program integrated a new technical platform, new global ways of working and external agencies into a cohesive whole, and coordinated delivery across several independent digital development teams. Led a core team of 15 and a cross-functional organisation of 75+ people, with full accountability for program finances and complex global dependencies within the matrix organisation.
Strategic accountability for the group's central project portfolio and global delivery standards. Led and resourced three global sub-project offices with a total of around 200 employees and consultants, including sub-managers, and established scalable governance models that optimised resource utilisation and improved delivery precision across billion-scale global initiatives.
Drove one of IKEA's largest global organisational changes: introducing a new operating model for around 3,500 employees within the digital unit. The assignment involved shifting ways of working towards more innovation-driven product development methods (discovery & delivery) and implementing standardised global governance frameworks, including OKRs — which shortened lead times and strengthened the organisation's own capacity for innovation and value creation after handover.
Led a global, cross-functional infrastructure and logistics project with a budget of EUR 40M, delivered across 18 countries. With a team of 25+ people and several external suppliers in the value chain, Magnus was responsible for the entire delivery — from business case and system integration to go-live and adoption within the line organisation.
